Seeking New Parent Equity Leadership

Interested in bringing trainings to Sabin Families around equity work? Creating affinity spaces for students/families of color? Supporting Ms. Williams and Ms. Lathan in their student-centered initiatives? Sabin Family Equity Group needs you! We started this group to fill a void at Sabin at a time when the neighborhood was gentrifying rapidly, causing racism to linger unchecked. We had always envisioned leadership that is representative of our school community; and hoped that the group's mission would be driven by families of color, LGBTQ families, and those most impacted by issues of equity. We hope to transition our current leadership (Meghan Whitaker, Erin Wallace, and Maria Cordero) over to families/caregivers who are interested in the next year (or as soon as you are wanting!).
